The clean free tools, and what they draw
The tools that export clean for free share a shape. SoundTools draws 14 spectrum and waveform styles over your artwork, at 1080p and 60 frames per second on a desktop browser. musicvid.org runs community templates such as the circle spectrum and the Monstercat-style bars, with ads instead of a watermark. TwoShot renders an AI-described look and meters it in credits, 250 of them a month.
If a bar chart that pulses with the kick is the video you want, pick one of those and stop reading. They are good at it and they ask nothing.
Where Groovalizer sits
Groovalizer renders generative scenes from 3,500+ MilkDrop-format presets on the projectM engine: fractals, liquid geometry and folding symmetry that react to the bass, mids and treble of your track. The free plan plays all of it in the browser, with no account, and does not export.
Exporting is a Pro feature, and every Pro export is clean: no stamp, no daily cap, no expiring download and no upload queue.
Pro costs $14.99 a month and renders up to 4K. New subscribers get the first 7 days free; a card is required, and nothing is charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
What removing a watermark costs elsewhere
SongRender sells a single clean 1080p video for $5, or 5 a month for $15. Specterr’s cheapest clean plan is $16.50 a month billed yearly, and it counts your videos. Kapwing removes its watermark on Pro, $16 a month billed yearly. Renderforest exports nothing meaningful free and starts at $8 a month billed yearly for 720p templates. The prices sit on each tool’s pricing page and were read in September 2026.
Groovalizer Pro never counts videos. One price, every export clean, as many as your machine can render.
A rule of thumb
Choose a clean free tool when the video is a bar chart and the budget is zero. Choose Groovalizer when you want generative visuals: preview free with your own track, then export clean on Pro.
Whatever you pick, your audio never leaves your machine with Groovalizer, SoundTools, musicvid.org or Butterchurn. The cloud-rendered tools need the file uploaded first.
